- GangavalliGangavalli is an SC-reserved constituency in Salem district sitting on the southern edge along the Vasishta river.
- AtturAttur is a taluk town in eastern Salem district, set in a valley between the Kalvarayan and Chitteri hills, and it is the trading hub for the surrounding rice and sago belt.
- YercaudYercaud (AC 83) is a Scheduled-Tribe-reserved hill seat in Salem district, sitting on the Shevaroy range at 1,515 m.
