  • AmbasamudramAmbasamudram sits on the south bank of the Tamirabarani in Tirunelveli district, an old paddy and banana belt that built itself around the river's spillway and the Papanasam reservoir feeders upstream.
  • PalayamkottaiPalayamkottai is the cantonment-side twin of Tirunelveli town, separated from it only by the Tamirabarani river bridge.
  • NanguneriNanguneri lies on the southern lip of Tirunelveli district, the last assembly seat before the Western Ghats fold into Kanyakumari.
