About Kinathukadavu
Kinathukadavu sits south of Coimbatore city on the road to Pollachi, taking in coconut farms, granite quarries and the textile mill belt around Kinathukadavu town and Negamam. The seat has produced some of Tamil Nadu's tightest contests in recent cycles, with margins of 1,332 in 2016 and just 1,095 in 2021. AIADMK's S. Damodaran has been a fixture, winning in 2011 and 2021. Polled votes touched 266,000 this cycle in a six-candidate field, sharp turnout in a seat of roughly 290,000 electors. The constituency sits in the Pollachi Lok Sabha seat.

Kinathukadavu's straight stretch on the Coimbatore-Pollachi road runs through coconut estates and the Negamam handloom cluster, famous for its cotton sarees. The drive south leads into Pollachi's plantation belt and the foothills of the Anaimalai range.
