Temple town between Tiruppur and Coimbatore

Avanashi's pull is the 11th-century Avinashilingeswarar temple, one of the Saptha Sthanam shrines and a regular stop on Coimbatore-Salem road trips. The town also anchors the route to Tiruppur's knitwear bazaars and the Tirumuruganpoondi Murugan temple just off the bypass.
