Ramachandran, won Rasipuram in 2011 and Avanashi in 2016, and served as Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 2016 to 2021. Dhanapal was the first Dalit elected as Speaker in independent India and the first speaker in the state's history to be elected for a consecutive second term. Spouse practises architecture per the 2026 ECI affidavit.

Party & ideology

Logesh's switch from AIADMK to TVK in February 2026 was widely framed in national reporting (Deccan Herald, Daily Hunt) as a setback for AIADMK in its Salem-Namakkal Kongu base. His Rasipuram win is part of TVK's western-region sweep — Erode all four seats, plus Rasipuram, Namakkal, Tiruchengode and Kumarapalayam in Namakkal — that anchored Vijay's path to a 108-seat majority. Per his ECI affidavit, no criminal cases are recorded against him.
