P. Sathyabama won Dharapuram for the AIADMK in April 2026 by 16,727 votes, resigned on 25 May 2026 and joined the ruling TVK the same day. The 6 October 2026 ballot lists P. Sathyabama as TVK's candidate, No. 2.
